Yapstone is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace Role Description As the Country Manager at Yapstone, you will be responsible for managing and expanding the Yapstone operations locally. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.


Primary Responsibilities

  • • Drive the local go-to-market strategies for the Yapstone payments business

  • • Develop growth strategy and business partnerships pipeline that drives sales volume and profits

  • • Support and lead, as necessary, new business development including sales presentations, local negotiations, client onboarding, and other activities as needed

  • • Work with the global Legal & Compliance teams and manage regulatory requirements in xx

  • • Assist to develop payment partnerships with local acquirers and processors and working with Finance/Treasury teams to establish banking relationships for operating accounts and FX remittance

  • • Work with internal teams on operations/ product/ technology road map and integration of partnerships

  • • Perform administrative activities on behalf of the company, including board matters, contract execution and managing official paperwork with legal authorities.

  • • Identify and attract top local talent. Build domestic commercial, administrative, customer service and operations teams as required to support client growth.

  • • Source market data and research on trends, market conditions, competitors, and regulations

  • • Identify and promote new potential products that build on the existing technology stack

  • • Other duties and responsibilities, as required.

  • Direct Reports

  • Regional team of 10-20 members across the following functions.

  • • Payment Operations

  • • Risk Management

  • • Customer Service and Support

  • • Finance

  • • Treasury/Fx

  • Teams will functionally report to the horizontal groups and utilize global systems and processes.

  • The MD role reports to the VP Emerging Markets.

Requirements

  • • 10+ years of experience working in digital payments sector, having owned P/L responsibilities

  • • 5+ years of experience in leadership of senior management positions with a proven ability to implement strategy.

  • • Experience working with a multi-national US-based company a plus.

  • • Strong people management and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions, in a multi-cultural and matrixed environment.

  • • Experience working with tier one merchants, local acquirers, banks, and payment processors.

  • • Deep understanding of the local regulatory environment with a proven ability to succeed with regulators and central banks

  • • Thorough understanding of payment facilitation operations including processing, fraud and chargeback management, local payment methods, optimization, and remittance

  • • Program management experience to facilitate and streamline payment partner onboarding and merchant negotiations

  • • Own and maintain an extensive partnership, merchant & channel network in payment industry

  • • Good analytical skills, capable of doing in-depth analysis, provide business insights, develop strategy and grow new business

  • • Business or technical degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred

Requirements
