We are seeking a highly motivated, driven, and passionate Sales Business Analyst with payments or e-commerce experience to join our Sales Operations team in our Walnut Creek, CA office. As a Sales Business Analyst, the ideal candidate will possess a passion for Sales data, attention to detail, strong communication skills and a bold entrepreneurial streak. The Sales Business Analyst will be a key member of the YapStone Field Operations team responsible for creating and executing Sales KPI, reporting and dashboards. The ideal candidate will be analytical, process oriented, energetic, and enjoy working in a high growth, data and operationally driven environment. He or she should have a strong business understanding, good verbal and written communication skills and top-notch Excel and data manipulation skills as well as strong attention to detail.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and develop key analytics dashboards and reporting capabilities for executives and management teams

  • Lead the Sales and Marketing team in the identification, development and execution of Sales analytics metrics and KPIs

  • Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to sales management as well as regular reporting cadence to all of Sales and Marketing

  • Responsible for generating insights from various Sales analytic tools, as well as creating and analyzing reports and dashboards in Salesforce.com

  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide detailed tracking of Marketing programs across various channels as well as measure, monitor, and optimize the funnel from inquiry to MQL to SQL to closed opportunity; proactively communicate insights and results out to key stakeholders in the organization

  • Collaborate extensively with both Marketing and Sales teams

  • Responsible for data integrity, data acquisition, cleanliness, normalization and completeness

  • Manage complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners

  • 5-8 years of analytics experience, preferably at a fast-paced start-up

  • Experience extracting insights from data

  • Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.com required

  • Experience with Snowflake and Looker a plus

  • BA / BS degree required

  • Self-motivated, “can-do” attitude with strong work ethic; no project too big or too small

  • Ability to think creatively, problem-solve and keep the ball moving forward

  • Excellent organization, communication and writing skills – attention to detail is a must

  • Hands-on, results-driven, with a bias towards action and a strong track record of success

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Self-starter, who needs little hand-holding and can get up to speed quickly
