As the VP of Product reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will play a key role in helping the Yapstone Product Management team scale rapidly and realize our product vision to be a complete end to end marketplace payments platform. This critical role will combine executive leadership, strategic thinking, team management, effective execution and serving as an expert on global ecommerce. Yapstone is relentlessly pursuing a market leadership position and requires exceptionally strong product leadership to drive a customer-centric and technological-superior product ethos for the company. The VP Product takes a broad look at the company and market to ensure Yapstone is set up for success and fully utilizing all company resources in an efficient manner.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Hire, lead, organize, engage and coach a rapidly growing global team of 5+ Product Managers distributed across Ireland and the US.

  • Align team with end-to-end product line vision and the company’s business strategy, goals and key KPIs

  • Develop, maintain and communicate and end-to-end roadmap to internal and external stakeholders

  • Partner effectively with Engineering, Design, Growth and Product Marketing to ensure we validate, build, launch, and measure our product market fit and alignment with customer expectations to provide a market leading product.

  • Lead and influence an aggressive growth mindset and will challenge with investment proposals that show aggressive growth but have a well-thought through ROI.

  • Serve as one of the primary contacts with key customer and partners to present roadmaps, take customer feedback and support the effective sales and customer lifecycle processes

  • Ensure a cohesive, coherent, and compelling end-to-end customer experience across all aspects of the product and customer relationship.

  • Serve as a spokesperson for the end-to-end Yapstone product internally and externally

  • Serve as liaison between the product development function and its stakeholders including the executive team to ensure proper internal alignment and efficiency and providing a bridge between business/corporate strategy and the product visioning and strategy processes.

  • Become a subject matter expert and thought leader in Yapstone product markets

Requirements

  • 15 years+ of experience related to financial services and/or payments, ideally within acquiring or issuing

  • Super passionate about making a positive impact to growth and a real hands on mentality to get the job done

  • Significant people management experience in a fast growing payments scale-up business

  • Strong understanding of Yapstone product and customer markets, competition, and underlying technologies. Direct experience in a relevant industry such as Travel or marketplaces

  • Track record of leading several products to successful commercial outcomes; must be able to demonstrate multiple complete product cycles from inception to full-scale success showing material impact to business outcomes.

  • Excellent at executive room, full company and larger venue presentations, and able to inspire and motivate customers and employees through written and verbal communications that are elegant, passionate and persuasive.

  • Must be able to build strong trusted scalable relationships with the various corporate stakeholders

  • Able to demonstrate successful deployments of prioritization frameworks across a global product platform

  • Must be able to show and influence strategic direction with a firm position based upon data/analytics and a strong point of view.

  • Demonstrated ability to teach and coach the product management skills across the full product lifecycle. A successful candidate should have past direct report examples demonstrating successful development and mentoring of high performance individuals.
